New England Renewable Energy Group is a non-profit subsidiary of NEREG that is focused on promoting alternative energy education programs, to communities and school systems, including vocational training programs to support the growing need for technicians and installation professionals.
New England Renewable Energy Group Alternative Energy Education Initiatives
New England Renewable Energy Group will develop and offer a range of renewable energy education resources targeted at:
- Consumer Education
- Elementary Schools
- High Schools
- Vocational Schools
- Community Colleges
Programs will be developed related to current and emerging solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and ocean renewable energy technologies, to generate greater awareness and encourage adoption of clean renewable energy.
New England Renewable Energy Group Workforce Training Initiatives
The New England Renewable Energy Group will promote Workforce Training Programs to Vocational High Schools and Community Colleges designed to address the growing need for trained technicians and installers of solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and ocean renewable energy technologies.
New England Renewable Energy Group Facilities Audit Assistance
New England Renewable Energy Group, working through the EPA, State Agencies and local Utilities can arrange for an energy audit of your facility to access its efficiencies. Energy Audits are increasingly becoming mandatory in qualifying a project for rebates and tax credits.
New England Renewable Energy Group Web Portal
The New England Renewable Energy Group will also support an internet alternative energy resource portal, www.nereg.org.
